Most base vehicles are designed as light commercial vans, not fully converted motorhomes.
When additional weight from habitation units, water tanks, and touring equipment is added, standard suspension can:

What is the difference between VB-Essentials and VB-Comofort & Handling?
The VB-Comfort & Handling Pack includes everything in the Essentials Pack, plus VB-Active adaptive shock absorbers.
These active dampers adjust to road conditions in real time, delivering improved ride comfort, reduced vibration, and greater stability - especially on uneven roads or during long-distance touring.
Is adaptive damping worth the upgrade?
For motorhome owners who travel regularly or over long distances, adaptive damping can significantly improve comfort and reduce driver fatigue.
It enhances body control, reduces background noise, and provides a more composed driving experience compared to fixed-rate shock absorbers.
Will this improve handling in crosswinds?
Yes. The combination of restored suspension geometry and adaptive damping improves stability in crosswinds, during overtaking, and on exposed roads such as bridges or coastal routes.
Does this replace my existing suspension?
No. The VB-Comfort & Handling Pack enhances your existing suspension by supporting it with VB-SemiAir and upgrading damping performance. If you are seeking a complete suspension replacement, VB-FullAir may be more suitable.
Can this system be adjusted by the driver?
The VB-SemiAir Digital component allows ride height adjustment within specific limits, while the VB-Active damping system adjusts automatically based on driving conditions.
Is this suitable for heavily loaded motorhomes?
Yes. The VB-Comfort & Handling Pack is particularly beneficial for motorhomes that regularly carry touring equipment, e-bikes, or additional payload. For motorhomes or campervans which would benefit from additional payload capacity you may want to consider our Uprating services.
Can I uprate my motorhome with this system?
In most cases it is possible to uprate the Gross Vehicle Weight of your motorhome or campervan in conjunction with this or other VB products. Your VB Partner will be able to offer advice specific to your vehicle and requirements.
